Today we reviewed progress in all of the foundation training you have been practicing for service tasks
- Light
- Paw on mat
- Paw shake
- play with toys (fetch and tug),
- hold (spoon)
- push (bug toy)
Yepa showed more enthusiasm for the job, and all round steady improvement, in particular she offered touches to the light switch several times without being asked, and lifted her paw more readily for the paw shake.

We also practiced Sit and Down with food carefully hidden, so Yepa doesn’t only do them when you have food in your hand

Then we went to the park, to give Yepa a break, and practice outdoors – Sit, Down, Stay, Come Here – all of these in preparation for the Public Access test. She showed how she jogs with the wheelchair, and also that there are no lasting effects of the firecracker incidents.
