(CNN)Police officers, their guns raised, approach the man in the wheelchair and yell out loudly and repeatedly: “Drop the gun” and “hands up.”

His hands don’t rise. Shots are fired. And the man keels over out of his wheelchair and onto the ground.

The police chief in Wilmington, Delaware, defended his officers Thursday. The handicapped man, Jeremy McDole, was armed with a .38-caliber gun — the same one he’d apparently used on himself earlier, Chief Bobby Cummings said. And he never complied with the officers’ requests.
Instead, “when Mr. McDole began to remove the weapon from his waist, the officers engaged him,” Cummings said. In other words, the officers opened fire because they were concerned McDole might fire his weapon at them.

But the man’s mother saw it differently.

Phyllis McDole alluded to a video — which Cummings acknowledged but said he hasn’t authenticated — which she said shows that her son “didn’t pull a weapon. He had his hands in his lap.”

In the footage, a witness can be heard saying “put your hands up” and “he’s reaching again.” But it’s not obvious what exactly the man was doing with his hands just before the shots rang out.

Phyllis McDole — who spoke at the same news conference as Cummings, despite their obvious differences of opinion — doesn’t understand why her son died. He was 28-years-old and paralyzed from the waist down, she points out.

The mother said, “This is unjust.”

Расследование дела в отношении бывшего депутата Госдумы Михаила Глущенко, обвиняемого в организации убийства депутата Галины Старовойтовой, завершено. Об этом в понедельник, 29 июня, сообщает ТАСС со ссылкой на адвоката обвиняемого Александра Афанасьева.

«Из материалов дела об убийстве Старовойтовой было выделено в отдельное производство дело в отношении Михаила Глущенко. Основанием стало заключенное им со следствием досудебное соглашение о сотрудничестве и выполнение всех условий этого соглашения», — рассказал защитник. По его словам, суд, скорее всего, «пройдет в особом режиме — без исследования доказательств».

Как ожидается, обвинительное заключение будет передано в прокуратуру для утверждения в течение недели.

В конце апреля текущего года «Коммерсантъ» со ссылкой на источники в следствии сообщил, что проверка на детекторе лжи подтвердила достоверность показаний Глущенко о том, что заказчиком убийства Старовойтовой был петербургский бизнесмен Владимир Барсуков (Кумарин). Месяцем ранее обвиняемый заключил сделку со следствием, обязавшись назвать настоящего заказчика преступления.

В США, к примеру, результаты проверки на “детекторе” в суде не принимаются и судом не рассматриваются.

Я понимаю, что опыт других стран, а особенно США, для России ничего не значит. Но, может быть стоит иногда присматриваиться к тому, что происходит в мире и не наступать на грабли самостоятельно?

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was shot and killed in North Portland Monday and homicide detectives were leading the investigation.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting just after 2:30 p.m., at North Blandena Street and Commercial Avenue. They arrived to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

The victim died at the scene. He was later identified as 29-year-old Marquis Delon Chaney.
Police said Chaney lived in the neighborhood. An autopsy was planned for Tuesday.

Investigators said “limited information” indicated that the suspect or suspects left the area after the shooting.

Witnesses told KGW they heard 4 to 5 gunshots and saw a man running from the scene who appeared to be around 25 years old, or younger.

Homicide detectives, criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division and the Medical Examiner were helping with the investigation.

Just two days earlier, a man was shot and wounded in a nearby area of North Portland. He later died at the hospital and homicide detectives continue to investigate.

Police have not said if they think the two shootings may be related.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Workers at a Central Oregon landfill became suspicious when former Gov. John Kitzhaber and his fiancée, Cylvia Hayes, showed up to dump some trash last week.

The suspicious workers called authorities after the first couple paid a visit last week.

Timm Schimke of the Deschutes County solid waste department tells The Bulletin that sheriff’s deputies poked through the couple’s trash for about an hour. He says it appeared they dumped old campaign signs and a mattress or box spring.

Schimke says the couple arrived in two vehicles and stayed for two or three minutes.

He told KOIN 6 News, “It looked like someone was cleaning out their garage to me. There was a mattress and a box spring. It didn’t look nefarious. It was people dumping garbage.”

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — The United States Department of Justice issued subpoenas Friday for records involving Governor Kitzhaber and First Lady Cylvia Hayes.

Subpoenas were also issued to approximately a dozen agencies – including the governor’s office and at least 14 other people, sources told KOIN 6 News.

The subpoenas seek information related to contracts and payments Hayes received over the past four years.

Sources who spoke under a promise of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak about the federal investigation told KOIN 6 News investigators believe Hayes received payments that she did not report to the state or on her taxes.

They are trying to determine if she did work for outside companies without reporting that she was doing work for those companies.

In addition to contracts, the feds are seeking email, phone logs, documents and visitors logs involving Hayes and nearly a dozen businesses and advocacy groups that Hayes had contact with, according to these sources.

KEIZER, Ore. – Police arrested a naked man who they said broke into two Keizer homes, drank a homeowner’s booze and took a hot tub early Sunday morning.

A woman who was house-sitting alone at a home on Lakefair Place North called 911 and told police she heard noises coming from the laundry room just before 5 a.m., according to Sgt. Jeffrey Goodman with Keizer police.

The woman said the door slammed shut when she approached the laundry room. She armed herself with a knife and waited for police.

When officers arrived, they found a naked man, later identified as Guillermo Brambila Lopez, hiding in the laundry room. Police said Lopez broke into the home through a back window.

During the investigation, police discovered that a neighboring house was also broken into, Goodman said. No one was home at the time.

Lopez broke into the neighboring home, drank the homeowner’s alcohol, took a hot tub and showered, Goodman said.

Officers found Lopez’s clothes inside the house.

Lopez faces two counts of burglary and one count of criminal mischief. His bail was set at $82,500.

The president of the NYPD union slammed Mayor Bill de Blasio in reaction to the deaths of two officers who were ambushed and gunned down in their patrol car in broad daylight Saturday in Brooklyn.

“There’s blood on many hands tonight,” Patrolman’s Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch said late Saturday. “Those that incited violence on this street under the guise of protest, that tried to tear down what New York City police officers did everyday.

“We tried to warn it must not go on, it cannot be tolerated,” Lynch continued. “That blood on the hands starts on the steps of city hall in the office of the mayor.”

Also on Saturday evening, video obtained by the New York Post showed several officers turning their backs on the mayor as he made his way down a hallway at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, where Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu had earlier been pronounced dead.

The Post also reported that earlier in the evening, de Blasio approached a group of officers outside the hospital and told them, “We’re all in this together.”

“No, we’re not,” an officer responded, according to the Post, which cited another policeman who witnessed the exchange as its source.

Following the shunning by officers in the hospital hallway, de Blasio spoke emotionally of meeting the families of the deceased officers and praying over their bodies.

“We depend on our police to protect us against forces of criminality and evil,” de Blasio said. “They are a foundation of our society, and when they are attacked, it is an attack on the very concept of decency.”

The mayor declined to address a question about the possible political ramifications of the killings, saying it was “time to think about these families. I don’t think it’s a time for politics or political analysis. It’s a time to think about families that just lost their father, their husband, their son.”

Lynch and de Blasio have been locked in a public battle over treatment of officers following a Staten Island grand jury decision Dec. 3 to not indict a police officer in connection with the death of Eric Garner. Garner was stopped by police this past July on suspicion of selling so-called “loosies”, or untaxed cigarettes. Amateur video captured an officer appearing to put Garner in a chokehold and wrestle him to the ground. Garner was heard gasping, “I can’t breathe” before he lost consciousness and later died.

Demonstrators around the country have staged die-ins and other protests the grand jury decision, which closely followed a Missouri grand jury’s refusal to indict a white officer in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black 18-year-old. New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said they were investigating whether the suspect, 28-year-old Ismaaiyl Brinsley had attended any rallies or demonstrations.

В России возбуждено первое уголовное дело за неуведомлении о втором гражданстве

По версии следствия, 51-летний житель Ленинградской области, являясь гражданином России, получил в Эстонии вид на жительство и приобрел статус лица без гражданства, подтверждающие право на постоянное проживание в этой стране. Приехав в 2014 году в Россию, мужчина не подал письменное уведомление в отдел УФМС о наличии у него вида на жительство Эстонии.

При попытке выехать из России через автомобильный пункт пропуска он был задержан. Закон об обязательном уведомлении о двойном гражданстве вступил в силу 4 августа. За сокрытие данных о втором гражданстве грозят штраф до 200 тысяч рублей или обязательные работы на срок до 400 часов, передает радио “Вести ФМ”.

McMINNVILLE, Ore. — A team of 15 investigators is working to try and figure out what triggered the deadly confrontation between a man with a knife and a Linfield College student at a 7-Eleven store in McMinnville last weekend. But even the district attorney admits, many questions may never be answered.

“I’m not sure that we will ever have an explanation of how Parker Moore became the target of this stabbing and was killed. Why him? Why there? Why then? I don’t know that we will ever be able to answer those questions in a way that is at all satisfying,” Yamhill County District Attorney Brad Berry told KGW Tuesday.

Moore, 20, died from multiple stab wounds. His suspected attacker, Joventino Arenas, 33, was shot and killed by police after he returned to the scene later.

“This case is tragic not just on the Moore family end of it, it’s certainly tragic on their [Arenas'] family also,” Berry said. “There’s another loss of life here. I can assure you this investigation is being done methodically and completely.”

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN 6) — Authorities in Clark County have issued an Amber Alert for a 10-year-old boy in Vancouver.

According to police, Andrey Voronenko was picked up from Mill Plain Elementary School in Vancouver around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday by his father, 38-year-old Alexey Voronenko, who police said was in jail in Texas for domestic violence. The child’s mother fled with Andrey to Vancouver while Alexey was in jail.

Police added that Alexey has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and that it is unknown if he uses drugs. Authorities said they believe that the child could be harmed.

The child, Andrey, is 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 70 pounds, He was brown hair, green eyes and was last seen wearing a navy polo with pink stripes, grey pants and blue and grey tennis shoes with a dark navy rain coat.

The father, Alexey, is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 300 pounds. He has brown graying hair, a mustache and blue eyes.

Police said Alexey is believed to be driving a dark grey 2007 Honda Accord. It has four doors with tinted windows and a sunroof. The vehicle’s Texas license plate is CKK3638.

Выводы весьма неутешительны, скажем так. Не вижу ажиотажа в СМИ. Тишина. Вероятно, не просто так. Это своего рода Fahrenheit 9/11 об Украине.

Но я никак не мог этого пропустить.

Кто это делает? Уже не любители, как в 1980-х, а серьёзные уголовники, организованной группой лиц по предварительному сговору. Анализ исходного кода одного из троянов, заражающего компьютер жертвы под видом файла фотографии, выявил цифровую подпись o600ko78rus. Это, как нетрудно догадаться, питерский номерной знак. Такой знак установлен на мерседесе S600 (6 литров, 400 лошадей) питерского тинейджера, чей ник в ЖЖ — sporaw. В его ЖЖ можно найти фотографии и этой машины, и её номерного знака.

Понятно, что «Мерседес» куплен на выручку от кражи кредиток. Также понятно, что по российским законам тинейджеру ломится лишение свободы на срок до трех лет со штрафом в размере до двухсот тысяч рублей или в размере заработной платы или иного дохода осужденного за период до восемнадцати месяцев по статье 273 УК РФ.

Напрашивается вопрос, какая крыша помогла sporaw избежать наказания.

Ответ чрезвычайно прост. На этот раз, украден компьютер из квартиры на первом этаже.

Среди бела дня, как говорится.

У молодой женщины (28 лет) очень тяжелая форма рассеянного склероза. Она уже на коляске и руки работают настолько плохо, что водить коляску самостоятельно она уже не может. С ней постоянно находится рядом кто-то, кто и ведет коляску.

На момент кражи ее не было дома. Но ничего бы не изменилось, если бы она была. То есть, кто-то, снова, прекрасно знал, куда шел.

Конечно же, приехали полицейские. Конечно же, поговорили и опросили. Но, как я понимаю, результатов не будет. Хотя, именно о таком случае я и пытался говорить с полицией, когда пытался их убедить взяться за дело. Я не имел в виду попытку найти украденные у меня вещи. Хотел, чтобы они предотвратили будущие преступления, особенно учитывая то, что у них есть все следы и даже видео преступников.

Как я понимаю, никаких результатов не будет снова. Потому что, поисками заниматься никто не будет. Украден, всего лишь, компьютер.

Никого не убили и стоимость компьютера не 10 000 долларов.

На юге Москвы в подъезде дома N44/1 по улице Нагорной совершено зверское нападение на 18-летнюю девушку.

Как сообщил “Интерфаксу” источник в правоохранительных органах, около полуночи неизвестный подстерег девушку в подъезде, вылил ей на голову и лицо банку с бензином, после чего поджег.

Он отметил, что пострадавшая является гражданкой Киргизии. Также он сообщил, что во дворе указанного дома обнаружен автомобиль, на котором приехал нападавший. В настоящее время автомобиль осматривается сотрудниками правоохранительных органов.

Пострадавшая с тяжелыми ожогами лица и головы госпитализирована в НИИ скорой помощи имени Склифосовского. Преступник с места происшествия скрылся.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are on the lookout for a burglar who broke into someone’s home late Wednesday night.

The crime happened at a home in the 1300 block of North Rosa Parks Way.

According to police a neighbor saw the burglar leaving the house with property in hand and then fired a single shot in the air as the suspect took off on foot.

The suspect was initially described as a black male in his 20s with a medium build but police later narrowed that description to a 25-year-old light-complected black male who is tall but thin with a narrow waist and broad shoulders. His hair was shaved and he possibly had a light goatee. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with white stitching and brown pants.
