Заметки Кэролайн о достижениях Йипы.

Кэролайн продолжает приходить, но сейчас очень редко, и, по большей части сейчас она просто фиксирует результаты. Потому что Йипа уже достигла такой стадии, когда она начала проявлять инициативу и пробовать делать что-то новое самостоятельно.

Yepa did great again today – she demonstrated how well she is doing with the door opener, opening it to meet me (with me hiding before she opened it so she wasn’t too distracted). She also began work on a new door opener, to begin to generalize the cue “Push” to other situations.

She practiced Get It/Bring It with a wallet case, ballpoint pen, your stick, a lid, your clicker on its wrist holder, and even volunteered to pick up two pieces of paper.
She did especially well with the clicker – better than she has ever done before.

She practiced “Under” – moving under a dining table and lying down – and did beter than last time.

She practiced Sit and Down with verbal cues. At first she kept giving her paw, but stopped and did well afterwards.

A very exciting moment was when we were exploring things she could do with her enjoyment of using her paw. We went up to the door to experiment with the handle and suddenly, Yepa had the door pull I her mouth and was tugging at it. Sontaneously she told us –“I want to pull the door open!” She did a it a few times and got tons of praise and treats. Then we tried the other door opener – not quite so successful but OK – and made a plan to work with the door handle next time so you can get back into your room from the outside with her help.

All in all – a fun and successful session!
