Вот так, российские спецслужбы борятся с экстремизмом.

Весьма, забавно.

Но в этом году однажды серьезные люди из ФСБ заинтересовались одной из страниц моего дневника за далекий 2009 год, вот она, в кэше Яндекса.

Вкратце: в тот год я нашел в интернете и процитировал у себя антисемитский стишок какого-то Чипизубова, признанный «экстремистским» в судах далекой иркутской области. Поскольку я не предполагал, что у нас в стране есть запрещенные стихи (думал, запрещают только брошюры по изготовлению бомб), то недоуменно прокомментировал этот факт. О том, что не только в СМИ, а даже в личном дневнике на домашней странице нельзя процитировать запрещенную поэзию, я тоже не знал в 2009 году, за что готов нести предусмотренную законом административную ответственность.

Становится нормой…

Сейчас у нас опять идет дождь. Только, в этот раз я пишу не столько о погоде, сколько…

Из-за погоды, в этом году, я выхожу на улицу не очень часто. И еще реже, в этом году я посещаю магазины и подобные им заведения. То есть, места с большим скоплением народа. Сегодня это случилось, кажется, в четвертый раз.

Об этом явлении я уже писал. Как я уже писал, такое со мной, в Америке, случилось не впервые.

Но сегодня — это случилось со мной дважды. Оба раза — просящими были люди с “несветлой” кожей.

Нет, я — не расист. Но у меня складывается впечатление, что в американском обществе произошли какие-то изменения.

И дело совсем не в отношениях общества к людям с инвалидностью. Сейчас я совсем не об этом.

На мой взгляд, людей “на грани”, — все больше и больше.

К сожалению…

Впрочем, может быть это просто случайность и ни в коем случае не причина для каких-то выводов. Я, даже, надеюсь на последнее.

P.S. В отличие от прошлого раза, в этот раз я не стал ничего давать. Йипа вела себя очень настороженно и я ее, в этот раз, — послушался.

It may be time to move beyond pessimism. Ever since the financial crisis, Americans have wallowed in fear and anxiety. Understandably. Although a recovery — as defined by academic economists — started about two years ago, it hasn’t felt like one. Of the 8.7 million payroll jobs lost in the recession, only 1.8 million have returned. The recovery rivals the slowest since World War II and faces continued threats. High oil prices. Europe’s debt crisis. Unexpected inflation. Washington’s bickering over the federal debt ceiling.

All true. But it’s also true that the recovery seems increasingly self-propelled. Americans are shopping again, albeit with less fervor; exports are improving; companies are hiring. Massive government spending and the Federal Reserve’s low interest rates seem less crucial to growth. Although this is good news, the pervasive post-crisis gloom prevents us from acknowledging it.

…Однако…

Это заключение из той самой статьи, ссылку на которую я дал в предыдущем посте.

А любопытным мне показалось то, что, как мне кажется, несмотря на то, что написано про США, — это очень хорошо характеризует состояние, в котором россияне живут уже давно.

Очень давно.

В России должны помнить этого проповедника.

Ему сейчас уже за 90 и у него большая семья.

Со всеми проблемами, как и у большинства семей, в общем-то.

Billy Graham has not lived a faultless life, but he did act carefully to protect his legacy and the significance of his reputation. In private, aware of his own human weakness, he instructed his ministry staff never to leave him alone in a room with a woman who was not his wife. In these last years, he speaks frequently of Ruth and of his yearning to go home to heaven to see her. His children have not been so cautious. Bunny, Gigi, and Ned are divorced and remarried. Ned, whose ministry builds and encourages Christianity in China, has spent time in rehab for prescription drugs, and Franklin admits to having had an appetite for alcohol as a younger man. Among Graham’s 19 grandchildren, at least three have become Christian preachers. But according to a 2008 story in The Columbus Dispatch, there has been drug addiction, teenage pregnancy, and eating disorders in that generation as well. Gigi and Ruth have made ministries out of helping families endure such struggles.

“I’m just not comfortable being thought of as coming from a wonderful family,” says Gigi. “We’re not exempt from some of the problems that everyone has. We’re empathetic to, sympathetic to, all the problems that people have today. We support one another, love one another when we’re going through some of the things we’re going through.” Franklin sees these family troubles somewhat differently. He and his siblings “don’t see each other that often. I think some of them have made bad choices in life, but I’m responsible for my life. I have to stand before God and give an accounting of my life.” He pauses, then adds, “I love my sisters and would do anything I could to help them.”

This goes to the heart of the matter. In 1971, when Kissinger first went to China, the U.S. economy was roughly five times that of the People’s Republic. Forty years later, as a result of the industrial revolution unleashed by Mao’s successor Deng Xiao-ping, it is conceivable that China could overtake America within a decade. This is a feat the Soviet Union never came close to achieving. Moreover, China is now the biggest foreign holder of U.S. Treasury notes, which form an important part of its vast $3 trillion of international reserves. How China will use its newfound economic power may be the most important question of our time. Few Americans are better placed to answer that question than Kissinger, who has dealt with four generations of Chinese leaders.
